Important Update

We are very happy to welcome you all in Aachen, Germany and are confident that the situation is improving regarding the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, in view of the possible travel restrictions, the conference will be in the form of a hybrid conference with as many authors and participants as possible attending the conference in Germany in person, and others attending remotely. The technical program will include physical sessions with on-site presentations and virtual (on-line) sessions for remote participants.

Welcome to IEEE SmartGridComm 2021!

The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite your participation in the 12th IEEE International Conference on Smart Grid Communications (SmartGridComm 2021). This conference aims to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, government institutions, and regulators with background in communications, energy, control, signal processing, analytics and information systems to exchange ideas, explore enabling technologies and share experiences related to smart grids.

The conference will be colocated with IEEE ISPLC 2021.

We look forward to sharing the innovative technologies and approaches being used to enable two-way energy and information flow, faster fault isolation and power outages restoration, renewable energy integration and consumer energy optimization tools as well as other smart grid applications.

SmartGridComm 2021 will be held in Aachen, Germany from 25 – 28 October 2021. Aachen is a spa city near Germany’s borders with Belgium and the Netherlands.

We warmly invite you to participate in the IEEE SmartGridComm 2021 program and activities and we are confident that you will find the program enriching, enlightening and rewarding.
